North Carolina Rescue League is an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for all toy breed dogs that are either rescued from shelters, found as strays, puppy mill retired breeder dogs, or those no longer wanted by their family or owner in North Carolina.
Started in January 2008 by Dana in Wilmington North Carolina, NCRL is a small group making a big difference. Dana has been very active in fostering and rescuing small dogs for about 4 years now with various groups.
From someone that has worked with her over the years, "Dana is one special lady!! She devotes her life to the rescue of man's companion animals and works diligently to find them a great forever home. No matter how many she has, she always has room in her home and heart for one more. It is a priviledge to know this kind, quiet, professional woman, and I consider myself fortunate to have her as a friend and colleague."
